It amazes me when someone has no clue about whats going on with the economy. Some of this will depend on your income. If your retired? Still in the work force? I recently ran into a woman and she was clueless about people's situations and even the economy. She had this idea that people were in these situations of having to work more than one to two jobs because they were living beyond their means.
This is the smug belief that people shouldn't try to better themselves. They should except a certain level of income based on the narrow minded belief of others. The reality is that most of these people were not living above their means. Now they are having to work more than two jobs just to maintain.
I don't know if it's an age thing with some of these people or a generation thing with this judging others? It does remind me of the bucket of crabs stories.
I don't know where this sick idea comes from to try to drag down others who want more? I'm not going to say its a human thing. I think its a sick thing, human not so much. If you have confidence in yourself. You aren't as inclined to step on other people's dreams. The dream crushers are usually toxic waste. This is one of the reasons that I keep people like this away from me. Some people have them in their family and dread visiting them.
One of the things about the economy is that effected every industry globally. No one that worked in these global industries was at fault. If anything there were a lot of casualties in the fall out. Some have recovered, many are still in recovery or survival mode. There is still distrust in the stock market and retirement accounts.
It's still interesting to see how everything will shake out in the long run. A lot of people feel that the people that were prosecuted were not punished enough. Even their families got of easily. Their assets were not seized to make restitution for the crimes they committed. Other countries are still just trying to survive as their economies are limping along.

It feels very exciting and fresh! It almost has a crisp feel to it. I'm waiting for the next chapter to be written. Each one of us is part of history and yet we never think of it that way. We just go about our day. It seems that only when we read what has been written. What we've experienced that we question it and say how did they get that?

Poverty
To each person that word means something different. It depends on the country you grew up in and how it was viewed by that culture. It has a smell, feeling and taste. To some it might be sadness, violence, insecurity?
It might feel like a simpler time, depending on your memories if they were happy or sad? Certain foods in an instance can trigger memories or feelings of happiness or sadness. The taste of certain foods are reminders as well. Those that are visual, will find things that annoy them on sight.
These reminders can be just enough incentive to make sure that we never go back to a time like that without a fight. Here's the funny part, poverty can be a person growing up in a middle class home. It's all about our frame of reference.
To some people poverty is about money. To some it's about not having enough family or friends. See it's all very abstract. That's why logic isn't always the truth. Poverty can be synonymous with stress, pain, shame, violence and the list can go on.
Some of this is brought about by constantly comparing our lives to others. Some of it is just a brutal reality check when whats going out is more than whats coming in. Some of it happens, when things are beyond our control. For some this will be a temporary stop on the journey of life and others will feel like their life has hit the longest drought on journey.
Others make a game out of it. They have learned how to make it work for them and content with what they have and no intention of changing themselves. While others look at it as something dirty and abhorant and can't find ways fast enough to dig themselves out of it.
The important part about these journeys is not to Judge yourself but try to reasses what you've learned and see if different choices will change the results?

The Most Intimate Journey
One of the best journeys you will have is getting to know yourself. Often people will say, well I'm just me.
What exactly does that mean? Most women, haven't a clue on how to answer that question. It isn't until they're married and finding themselves unhappy with they're lives. Not exactly sure where in they're lives, they aren't happy? They start to feel like they aren't even a person? Like they've some how become an accessory.
Others have fallen into the trap, where they believe that it's the responsibility of their spouse to make them happy. Which is like some story that's been perpetuated by our society. It's only when women take the time to get to know themselves on all levels. Not allowing family or friends or even spouses to judge them. That they start to find out they're likes and dislikes. They stop trying to please other people and worrying about other people's opinions that they start to grow and learn more about themselves.
They start to learn that maybe they want to be known by their name instead of Mrs so-and-so or as someone's wife. Once we fully become whole, we bring much more to the table in a marriage or career or to even our own business. This myth that your partner makes you a whole person is just that a myth. Even they need to be whole within themselves to be truly happy.
Where we got this idea that its anyone's job to make us happy? I have no idea, but people need to actually start to participate in their lives instead of trying to put it on remote control. This how our lives suddenly start to become derailed. This is also how people lose control of their finances. Only you know what makes you happy or unhappy! Sometimes we like to mix it up and add some Drama, because maybe we're bored!
It's also okay to not be nice all the time. We have emotions for a reason, think of it as a color pallet that you can play with. Sometimes, you might want to be horrible instead of sugary sweet with everyone. By allowing your emotions to not be judged all the time. Your more likely to not have a callousal explosive melt down.
Your less likely to find that a toddler has taken control of your emotions and your having a melt down at a business meeting. When we find and know ourselves, we start to get this inner calm and peace that we've been searching for most of our lives. It starts to reel in those emotional roller coaster moments in our lives.
We start to have more control and direction in our lives. Instead of life happening to us. We are happening to life!

Reflection
I am always amazed at how these titles seem to come to me. My guides, muses and angels have such a gift. They set me down in front of the computer and away I type. With this new energy that is coming into 2012, everyone is having to face their shadow self.
Things we did as kids or stupid things that are rearing their heads and making us think! Things that we haven't thought about in a long time. These are all ascension things. This is not about judging ourselves for the imagined hurts we might have caused others. It is a time to make peace with ourselves.
This is knowing that no one is perfect! But by learning from these experiences we can always change if we choose to. We are here to experience different things in our lives. Some will be fun and others might seem like a nightmare that will never end. This is to teach us that we are always changing. Nothing in life is stagnant.
By looking at the past and saying to ourselves. I own that! It might not have been fun to experience. Each experience teaches us something, what I would change! What I would not change! Sometimes there is nothing that we could have done to change the situation. Sometimes it is meant to change another person and they are meant to learn and we are the teachers to them. We don't have to like being the teacher.
2012 is about learning to accept ourselves for our strengths and weaknesses. We are here to learn and experience the good and bad. There is no pass fail on the other side. It is about learning to grow.
