Dragonflies

Dragonflies are a symbol of the magic of childhood. They are like little helicopters floating in the air.

They come in all magical colors they can be gold, red, purple. Some even are of prehistoric size and others are so tiny that if you blink you'll miss them.

They remind us to lighten up and not take life so seriously. They are very whimsical in how they move through the air.

They artfully move through the air. They have a light hearted personality all their own.

Meditation

I have found that finding the right music to get you into a meditative state is important. Sometimes you will require music and other times complete silence is desired.

As I am writing this I am feeling my guides and angels working on my right shoulder. Lately I have seen more geometric shapes when I meditate. This brings me more inner peace.

There were times in the past that I could not seem to just sit and meditate. Earlier I would take walks in parks because nature seemed to fill the gap and allow me to hear the messages that I needed to hear to make decisions.

Meditation has allowed me to quiet the mind and release any fears that I would have had in the past. I am feeling more at peace than I have in my life. I can go about my life with ease and not get locked into the drama of other peoples' lives. Meditation is not looked at as a chore, but as a delicious treat.

Making Changes

Changes can be spontaneous or planned. When we shift energy in our lives, it makes it easier to get rid of clutter. The clutter can be paper, clothing that no longer fits our lifestyle. Sometimes we take baby steps to help allow change to come into our lives.

Sometimes its about letting go of people so that they can grow at their own pace; and if its meant to be reconnecting with them at a later time. Letting go of books or furniture that no longer serves our needs so that others may enjoy them.

Clearing the Clutter

One of the easiest ways of getting rid of clutter is taking bite size bites. You can start by working on surface areas. If you have a desk you can decide which way you want to work on clearing it. You can either start on the left or the right.

You can start with the small pile first  or the big pile it's all up to you. You can also leave a post it note on the pile that you just went through. This way you know if it needs to be filed or if it can be thrown away. If it's filing, make a game out of it. Get a timer and set it for 5 minutes. This way if it's not your favorite task you don't have to spend a lot of time doing it.

If you like incense you can either light incense or candles or both to make this a more enjoyable task and put on music that is fun for you. The point is to make it fun not a chore.  Clearing the clutter in one room can be done in a week. Don't tackle a room in a day, if this is something that you hate. Commit at least 15 to 20 minutes a day to a task that isn't your favorite.

Most people get over whelmed and become frustrated. By spending smaller amounts of time on these tasks it helps to make it less of a chore to do. Don't tackle more than one room at a time. You can also divide the room into sections if this helps you. The point is to help you make progress in a room with less frustration.

Family

Family can mean different things to different people. To some it is the actual family your are born into; to others it means people that are of your own choosing.

The Holidays seem to bring out the best and the worst in these domestic units. It's almost like Jeckly & Hyde come to life. I'm not going to continue to write some sappy drivel about loving them anyway. That simply wouldn't be honoring yourself.

What I do propose is to pick through the ones that simply get on your nerves beyond reason and not answering the phone when they call. It will be a win for you, and it becomes a win for them learning to stand on their own two feet.

This is not to be mean. Some family members grew up in an era where it was simply exceptable to be verbally abusive. They call it that now but it was never addressed in their time. They just knew that when they were around people like that they didn't like them very much. This is one way of breaking a cycle by not pointing fingers and telling your relatives that they're abusive and need therapy.

This will only bring on a whole new argument in the family drama. After all who needs more drama in their life. If you wanted that you could simply watch TV if that is actually being watched any more. It starts to make what family functions you do attend a little more enjoyable. Believe it or not you'll actually start to feel more calmer by not having to deal with certain family members.

These are only suggestions. You have to take back what you perceive as your family hamony however you see best. For those of us that have decided to throw the whole lot out and start fresh with people we consider family. We've already found our little peace of heaven. Hopefully this will make you laugh. If not you might need to relax more.

Blizzards

There's nothing that tests friendships like weather. It will show you, who is worried about you. These are times when you are either pulled apart or drawn closer together. Where I live it is very cold in the winters. We do get blizzards and snow storms. I'm glad we don't get them often. I don't know if I'd like to get them that often. I'm good with what we do get. It is always refreshing to see my state through the eyes of someone that comes from a warmer state.

They will either embrace this state or swear off coming here at anytime other than summer. Minnesota, has a lot of personality. It isn't a boring state, we have our Tornadoes, Severe Storm Warnings in the summer and in the winter we have severe winter storms and blizzards. This state has a lot of flavor. The blizzards are guaranteed to give you a snow day and make you slow down a bit.

If your inside, watching a blizzard can be quite exciting as you watch all the snow dance by and hear the timbers of your home crack. If your in the blizzard it will be a nail biting experience that will test what your made of. White out conditions, can make you wonder when the nightmare will end. All in all, it's natures reminder to slow down and remember what's important to you.

Energy Shifts

These new energy shifts have been pretty intense. They have at times almost kicked my butt. One was so intense that I thought I was going to black out. This last one has made me light headed, similar to being near a vortex.

On other occasions it has felt as if the room is tilting. It will be very interesting to see if we will keep our physical bodies? Or will we forced to change them to something else to make them light enough for the new energy that is coming.

I am loving this journey, but there are moments that I'm not so thrilled. The light headedness isn't one of my favorite moments and so begins the next chapter in our journey.
