Examples of Capitalism

The other day, I had someone say that Capitalism was about greed! I disagreed with her. I said, technically that's not true. When you have a slave master mentality. Nothing grows! It actually starts to make everything slide downward. We have this greedy lazy grocery store that tries to buy out all of its' competition. When a new store opened up that was from another state, it introduced competition. It wasn't intent on putting anyone out of business. It had done it's research and determined that with people's busy life styles. People were willing to pay for a personal shopper - delivery service for their groceries.

It worked! There were other services that were coming out around that time with that sort of service too. If a grocery store didn't have it in store, meaning as part of their employed  staff. There were services that would come in and do it for different stores. That lazy grocery store, found out by having that service come into their store. Their revenue increased, and they were seeing bigger returns than even they could have foreseen with their old lazy ways.

Now the thing is that this grocery store is getting lazy again and will eventually put itself out of business. They think that they should just have to carry the minimum and not have to do any extra work. Now every grocery store in this state has a different customer and price point. This lazy one, is more of the lower scale customer. The one that came in and mixed things up was more a a middle scale grocery store. We have a lot of different grocery stores that cater to different customers. Some of the stores, carry more european brands and other types of food from other countries.

By having capitalism, the consumer benefits greatly. They visit different grocery stores and buy what they like best. They might visit seven or more stores, simply because they like the atmosphere, the staff at the various stores and what they have to offer. This is why, I don't want any of them to go out of business. I believe in keeping people employed! It helps our economy and it helps people!

If we only had a few stores to pick from, it would be very boring! Less people would be employed and it would look very depressing and the choices would be next to nothing. Instead, people are given the great opportunity to taste all kind of delicious food from around the world and to learn about another culture. It allows stores to be more creative in the experience that it offers it's customers based on their location.
