When is the last time you had serenity? Do you even know what it is? The most intimate relationship you can have is with yourself. Finding your inner peace. It is embracing quiet. Having a moment where you don't have to listen to the radio, TV or even the Internet.
Having time to actually think for yourself and not having other peoples thoughts and opinions shoved down your throat. Hearing both sides of actual facts! Not facts that are spoon fed to us. Coming to your own conclusion of what those facts are to you. No two people will totally agree on all the facts. That's what makes us! Us! We are not a Borg collective. We are comprised of individuals and as individuals we will always have a variety of thoughts. This does not make someone right and another wrong.
This is why having elected officials represent the "people" doesn't work. No one can truly represent you! The only true person that can represent you is YOU! When we have serenity. We can start to have clarity for ourselves. We think for ourselves, and make better informed decisions for ourselves. Why? Because we have the peace of mind to actually take the time to make up our own minds.
Serenity is about finding out who we are? What do we desire? Are we happy or unhappy? What is the truth or fiction? It allows us to take a breathe, relax and reexamine whats going right or not right in our lives.
When we have inner peace we actually are able feel what is going on around us. Does something feel calm or chaotic? Are we on the right path for ourselves or have we gone off course? Taking time to get quiet allows us to reconnect to source. Reading a book, listening to music? Taking time for ourselves to think or learn. Having time to grow as a person.
Nature can be a very calming and nurturing expression for ourselves. When you take time to just be you. You learn to embrace the real you! The good, bad and the ugly parts of your personality that make up you. You might find that when you take the time to get to know the real you; when you explore that part of yourself. You will find that it makes you a much stronger person, instead of ignoring those parts of yourself that society has deemed as undesirable and weaknesses.
