Technology Friend or Foe?

I know technology has done a lot of good things. There are also equal arguments that it has done not so great things too. I do know that if you pay cash for things your not so likely to have identity theft. Is it inconvenient? Depends on the person. Some like to have real money on hand others like plastic.

I'm not a fan of having it shoved down every ones throat whether they like it or not. That screams control issues! With the added technology it does take less workers to do somethings. It also gives employers an excuse to outsource positions to save money. There are more cyber crimes with the new technology too.

Your constantly having to chase new technology to keep up in the job market and with the tools arena. The return on investment doesn't seem to add up for the individual. The winner seems to be the companies that produce the technology. I see technology being used more and more as an enslavement tool. I don't see it freeing up much time for free time. It seems that in a lot of ways we are returning to the 1920's and 30's; in the work mentality of working our employees like they're machines instead of human beings.

Instead of there being more progress in how we treat people. It seems like there is more and more disconnect from interaction. I see less relationship between parents and they're children. I see more brain dead parenting where the parents let their children run at will. Instead of teaching their children boundaries and respect. They let them roam like animals at will.

More people are tuned into computers and internet and less into talking to friend and family face to face. This makes it easier to tune out at will.
