Reclaiming Valentine's Day for Yourself

I can't think of a nicer day to start celebrating yourself. You don't need a partner.
Many people believe that Valentine's day is a day to Celebrate Relationships.
That also includes taking time to nurture your relationship with yourself.

Many people don't have a clue who they are or what they want anymore.
Taking time to plan a day to celebrate yourself or your relationship.
Nothing says that you can't have a Spa day for yourself or treat yourself to a special night.
If you and your friends are solo doesn't mean you can't have a Giant Ladies or Men's night.

Just make sure that you do something special for yourself. Some people are foodies and they love excellent food. Some are movie buffs and love to see the latest show that's been released. Whatever your passionate about? Make sure that you take time to celebrate it.

Finding Your Balance

I am writing this, because so many people have very chaotic lives. They run, run, run . . . They have no idea who they are any more. They chasing money so much to make ends meet. When I look at whats going on. It almost seems like we're stuck in the 1950's with the mentality. The discrimination against anyone that thinks outside of the box.

The technology that we have today is not making peoples lives easier. It's making their lives crazier. The commercials on TV are working very hard to sell you on the craziness being efficient. When its anything but. Instead of people taking time to talk to the people right in front of them. They are texting or chasing the latest app. or game.

These people are not living their lives, they are simply existing to make money and pay bills. Its actually more like a robot existence. These people are over worked and stressed out. Instead of using a vacation to relax people are working on things that they can't get done in their normal life.

One by one these people start to drop out of society as their stress level gets to such a point that they can't handle it any more. Either they lose their job, as their employer looks at them as being disposable.
Some will try to enter the rat race again only to fail multiple times. Others will try to follow their interests to create new lives for themselves. They will find that they are more satisfied and less stressed out. They will find that money starts chasing them now. They will be very surprised at how little effort is required.

They are starting to appreciate time with their family or friends more. Life is finally calming down. They are looking at their phones less; actually enjoying time by themselves just thinking and feeling. Some people will find their bliss in exercise and making their bodies more healthy. Others will find it in nature and listening to the musical chorus of the bugs and birds all around them. It's always amazed me that people don't take enough time to smell the change of the seasons.

For those of us that are workaholics, learning how to play will feel like something forbidden. It is through play and creativity that we learn new things and how to have more fun in our lives. So when will you start taking time to start living your life instead of just existing?
